Even for animals, welcoming a new life into the world is a joyous occasion. That is poetically lovely… It may have been an awful experience at the time, but you know what I mean! When an animal is officially categorized as “vulnerable,” the magic of its birth is enhanced by a thousand percent. Although this is a far better state than “endangered” or “extinct,” it still means that every child born from this species faces extinction.
When African elephants give birth and are protected by the herd
African elephants are one such species, and each birth is a miracle. A herd of elephants prepares to give birth in this video. In their herds, elephants create deep relationships. Elephants are considered to be extremely empathic, and their group relationships closely reflect group dynamics. When a pregnant elephant goes into childbirth, she is most vulnerable. They are in the midst of a vital period and are completely focused on the task at hand. This herd guarantees that nothing bad happens to any of them.
